Thank you for your desire to show our Lord’s mercy to persecuted and displaced Christians in tangible ways.
The Fund to Aid Christians Under Persecution, intended to care only for Christians who left Syria and Iraq for refugee camps in the Middle East, has been closed to additional contributions. All previous contributions have been dispersed for those efforts through grants to two partner organizations.
In response to the worsening refugee crisis in Europe, and in order to respond more effectively in helping both Christian and non-Christian refugees, the LCMS has expanded its mercy work among these persecuted and displaced people. The name of this expanded effort is: Christ’s Care for the Persecuted and Displaced: Mercy for the Body and Soul. This effort builds on the lessons learned from The Fund to Aid Christians Under Persecution.
To support this expanded work of mercy and show our Lord’s great love to those seeking a better life within the care of the church, please visit http://lcms.org/givenow/CCPD or call the Donor Care Line at 888-930-4438. Thank you!
