Rev. Jordon and Alison Andreasen

Serving the Lord in Romania

Bio

The Rev. Jordon and Alison Andreasen serve the Lord through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod as career missionaries in Romania. In this role, Jordon works with the Confessional Lutheran Church in Romania to plant Lutheran congregations in Romania and in the surrounding Balkan-Mediterranean subregion.

Jordon was born in Delaware, Ohio, and the family’s home congregation is Our Savior Lutheran Church, Aberdeen, S.D. Jordon holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Concordia University, Nebraska, Seward, Neb., and a Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. Prior to accepting the call to become a missionary, Jordon served St. John Lutheran Church, Wagner, S.D., and Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairfax, S.D. (2012–2018), and then Our Savior Lutheran Church, Aberdeen, S.D, and St. John’s Lutheran Church, Columbia, S.D. (2018–2023). In his free time, Jordon enjoys golfing, fishing, hunting, reading and spending time with his five children.

Alison is from Little Rock, Ark. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a Lutheran teacher diploma from Concordia University, Nebraska. She previously served as director and teacher at a preschool before becoming a stay-at-home mother. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, cooking and crafting.

Prayers

Please pray for the Andreasen family as they serve the Lord in Romania. Ask the Lord to give them comfort as they leave their friends and family and acclimate to life in a new place. Pray also that the Lord would open the ears and hearts of the Romanian people to the preaching of Christ crucified. Give thanks to God that the Andreasens are serving in this part of the world.

The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod Inc., including Mission Central (in Mapleton, Iowa), is an IRS registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity.

A contribution designated (restricted) for a specific purpose, when accepted, will be used only to fund expenses related to that purpose. Occasionally, we may receive more in contributions for a particular purpose than can be wisely applied to it in the foreseeable future or the purpose may cease to be feasible. In these situations, the LCMS will make reasonable attempts to contact contributors to apply their contribution toward another aspect of ministry that aligns closely the contributor’s goals and values. If a contributor cannot be contacted, the LCMS will use the gift to meet a similar pressing need that most closely matches the contributor's original intent.

Consistent with Synod Board policy and in recognition of a more challenging economic and philanthropic/fundraising environment due to inflationary pressure, not more than 13.5 percent of any charitable contribution will be allocated to administering gifts and communicating with contributors. Contributions received and accepted by the LCMS are deemed to be in agreement with this statement.
