Church Planting

Church Planting

Everyone needs to hear about Christ and His gift of salvation. God leads His people to plant a new church, and God Himself gives the growth. The LCMS supports new church plants by coming alongside the people, congregations and districts that are working to make it happen in their community. Learn how you can support this work in your own community or the wider church.

Tell the Next Generation

In Psalm 78, our Lord reminds us of the great privilege we have to share the faith we’ve been given with our children and all people. Our Synodwide emphasis, Tell the Next Generation, invites the whole church, joyfully and intentionally, to proclaim Christ and what He has done through all generations so that all may know God’s love and receive His gifts.

Set Apart to Serve

The church needs pastors and other trained workers. Set Apart to Serve is building a culture of church work formation and recruitment by equipping everyone in the LCMS to share this message. Find out how you can encourage your fellow Lutherans of all ages to consider serving — whether as a first or second career — as a pastor, teacher or other church worker.
