Dear Pastors and Congregational Officers:
Within the next week, your congregation will be receiving two important, time-sensitive, convention-related mailings that require action by your congregation:
PRESIDENT VOTER REGISTRATION
A president voter registration letter will be sent to your congregation from the LCMS Secretary’s Office that describes how to register one pastoral and one lay voter for your congregation or parish. Registration opens October 29, 2022, and closes March 19, 2023. For more detailed information regarding your congregation’s or parish’s participation and about the election of the LCMS President, visit lcms.org/convention/governance/elections#voter-registration.
CONGREGATIONAL NOMINATIONS FOR PRESIDENT AND VICE-PRESIDENTS
A nominations letter will be sent on behalf of the LCMS Secretary’s Office from Yes Elections (formerly known as Election-America), the independent provider of electronic election services to the Synod. This mailing will describe how to cast your congregation’s nominations: (1) for President and First Vice-President and (2) for Regional Vice-President of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Nominations open October 29, 2022, and close February 28, 2023.
