The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod takes part in a variety of churchwide initiatives aimed at accomplishing our goals through working together.
Ablaze!
Ablaze! is a global Lutheran mission movement to encourage and celebrate witnessing our faith, with the goal of reaching 100 million hearts with the Gospel by 2017.
Ablaze! began as a vision to involve every member of the LCMS, its partner church bodies and partner mission agencies in one focused and concentrated effort to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those who do not yet know Him.
Fan into Flame
Fan into Flame is a campaign to gather financial support for the Ablaze! movement. The campaign celebrated the close of its active phase on Reformation Day, October 31, 2011, but the fulfillment of pledged gifts from faithful, mission-minded believers will continue to bless the global Gospel work of the LCMS for up to five years. It is a critical step to fund the movement’s innovative projects and programs that share the Gospel with 100 million people.
Lutheran Malaria Initiative
The Lutheran Malaria Initiative is a partnership of Lutheran World Relief and The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod to mobilize U.S. Lutherans in the global effort to eliminate malaria deaths in Africa by 2015.
