Lutheran Church in Korea (LCK)
History:
Lutheran mission work began in 1958 with the arrival of three missionary families and a Korean national worker, Dr. Won-Yong Ji, sent by The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS). The Lutheran Church in Korea (LCK) has been a partner church of the LCMS since 1971. The LCK is also a member of the Lutheran World Federation (since 1972) and the International Lutheran Council. The only Lutheran church body in Korea, the LCK operated Luther Theological University (a theological college and seminary), the Korea Bethel Series Bible study program, radio outreach through the Korea Lutheran Hour, a Christian correspondence course program and a publishing ministry.
