Rev. Frederick Reinhardt,
Serving the Lord in Kenya
Rev. Frederick Reinhardt is based out of Nairobi, Kenya, where he serves as the area facilitator for French-speaking Central and East Africa. In this role, Fred works with the African leadership of the various French-speaking Lutheran church bodies. He also coordinates contact with emerging Lutheran groups that are interested in partnership with the LCMS or requesting theological training. Previously, Fred served in northeastern Togo, from 2000 to 2007, which included his two-year vicarage, and from 2007-2010, he was based out of Senegal as the French-speaking West Africa area facilitator.
Fred’s home congregation is Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pensacola, Fla. He is a “second-career” pastor and missionary, having enjoyed 21-year career in the civil and foreign service before going to Concordia Seminary in 1997.
Fred requests prayers for his continued safety and well-being in Kenya. Also pray that the Africa mission team will continue to enjoy a good team spirit and working relationship for the sake of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout French-speaking Africa! Please pray that the Holy Spirit would continue to work powerfully through the Word all over the continent of Africa. And pray that the Ablaze! movement will erupt in growing missionary support and activity, spreading until at least 100 million unreached or uncommitted people are reached with the Gospel by the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in 2017!
