Did you know you bear
Christ’s mercy in the world?
God’s mercy is sealed for us in the resurrection of Christ Jesus, flowing to us through His Word and Sacraments.
This mercy causes us to search for ways to share the gifts of Jesus with others.
This is our life together — serving under the Risen Savior, proclaiming the Good News of the resurrection as we care for people.
It is what He has called us to do. It is what He does through us, the body of Christ, the holy Christian Church.
Walking alongside you in this mercy work are the Mercy Ministries of the LCMS, ready to equip and enable you to care for your neighbor in body and soul through training, resources, encouragement and increasing capacity.
Like those who witnessed the resurrected Jesus we live in joyful hope and confidence, knowing that all the gifts of God belong to us and are intended by Him to be shared with others.
God bless our walking and mercy-bearing together in Christ’s name!
Prayer
Father of mercy and God of all consolation, remember in kindness the numerous ministries of mercy that our Synod sponsors, both at home and abroad. Through them, may many come to know and rejoice in Your tender care and love. We ask this in the name of Jesus, whose compassion fed the hungry, healed the sick and comforted the sorrowing. Amen.
