LCMS National Convention
July 18–23, 2026 • Phoenix, Ariz.
Presidential election voting begins June 6
Before the 69th Regular Convention of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) in July, an election will be held for voting delegates to select the LCMS president for the 2026–2029 triennium.
The first round of voting is June 6–9, and voting delegates will cast their votes for one of five nominees. There could be up to four rounds of voting (extending to June 30) until a candidate receives more than 50 percent of the votes.
Overview
The 69th Regular Convention of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod is scheduled for July 18–23, 2026, in downtown Phoenix.
The theme will be “Christ Is Risen Indeed,” based on 1 Corinthians 15:20–22:
“But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.”
